At Mile 727.8 of the AT on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 (7:43 AM). Google Maps link to my location: http://maps.google.com/maps?z=14&t=m&q=37.39186,+-79.90770 Six of us stayed at a hostel and then headed out to the most photographed spot on the trail, McAfee Knob. What a view! It was seriously unbelievable! When I came out to the rock out crop I couldn’t believe how beautiful the valley was. It makes it even better when your doing it with great people and new friends. It total we knocked out 20 miles today. Speaking of friends, one thing that I have learned out here is how much you learn about people in general. It is very interesting to interact with everyone from every walk of life when the playing field is level and you have everything you need on your back.
